So it’s been a long time coming, but don’t get excited because this week’s Music Mention is a short shout out to “the hip-hop violinist” Miri Ben-Ari.
Ben-Ari is an Israeli born violinist who has developed a sound that is entirely unique amongst violinists (and orchestra musicians in general). Ben-Ari has turned her violin into a hip-hop howitzer, and shes helped put together hits for major artists including Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks” and Twista’s “Overnight Celebrity”.
