Here’s some big industry news… Not usually something we cover much of at AYH2CM, but this is relevant…
First up, one of the most underrated MC’s of all time (largely due to the fact that he hasn’t produced any solo projects in his 15+ year career) Chali 2na is finally going to be dropping his Fish Outta Water album which has been in the works for a long, long time now. We probably should’ve taken the hint when we saw his name on the Rock the Bells roster… But this means we can expect some sick collaborations at RTB this year because not only does the first single “Lock Shit Down” feature Talib Kweli who is slotted to perform with Hi-Tek as Reflection Eternal reunites, but Fish Outta Water is also said to have a track featuring Damian Marley – the tour’s headliner.

The other big news today: Universal Motown announced that Kid Cudi is officially part of their artist roster and will be dropping his much-hyped LP Man on the Moon: The Guardian this summer.
Cudi also confirmed rumors that he’s going to be teaming up with up-and-coming Cleveland rapper Chip tha Ripper for some kind of project (sounds like an album). Chip has done some work with 6th Sense and is on a host of mixtapes, so this should really push the dude over the edge. Or at least get him damn close…
