Detroit rapper Invincible ready to drop project with Waajeed

This is not breaking news. This is TheNewConfusion. We don’t pretend to keep up with every track that drops on your local blog because, well, we simply can’t and, besides, most of those tracks suck. Nonetheless, we will continue to be your destination for music that’s actually good, or at least appealing. With that said, let’s go…

Invincible x Waajeed – Detroit Summer
First up, two of the most important players in Detroit hip-hop, Waajeed and Invincible, teamed up this summer to put a 2 song 7″ together, they leaked one of them “Detroit Summer” on Peter Rosenberg’s show on Hot 97. No better audio yet… all the more reasons to support the project when it comes out August 10th.

Yelawolf Leaks New Tracks
Alien is the key word here. Whether you’re familiar with Yela’s styling or not, this is bound to surprise you, but it’s refreshing.  It’s spoken word and fast rap and almost entirely acapella. Take a swig of whiskey, then wait for the drum track to kick in at the end. Welcome to Mars (or Alabama).

Those who are really averse to mainstream hip-hop turn this track down each time the hook comes on, but otherwise Yelawolf is in top form on this joint (1st and 3rd verses are his) discovered over on The Fader. This also marks the first time in my life I’ve had any inkling of like for something related to Gucci Mane.

Bun B Resurrects the Dead
The trillest OG of them all, Bun B, just dropped his new album. Here’s a single he put out, definitely aimed at the ladies with this one. Is it a classic? No. But with Pimp C, Pac and Bun B on the track it’d be a fatal flaw if we didn’t pass this on…
