Recent Monday Music Mention Freddie Joachim gives Erykah Badu the extra special something something on his remix of the track “Telephone” from her 2008 album New Amerykah Part One (4th World War). As is his tendency, Joachim’s production is entrancing, layering mesmerizing synths over ever-present-but-never-imposing drum tracks. It’s almost as seductive as Badu’s voice is.
