Okay, so I hardly know enough about Thomas Prime and Bob42jh (or their friends ZDW!?) for a proper Monday Music Mention, but I can tell you that when gems like this – the first release from the duo’s Cult Classic Records — hit my inbox it makes blogging worth it all over again. Cult collected tracks from a host of some of the most fiery producers of abstract hip-hop, trip hop, and downtempo that we’ve never heard of (Marcus D, Nym, Ljones, LEMS, Blazo , Kondor, Berry Weight, K-Murdock (Panacea) — see what I mean?), and created this dope ass mixtape Friends & Family. The artists represent countries ranging from Japan to USA to Poland to Switzerland, but chilling out is, like, totally universal, dude. Enjoy this.
